Thrifty offers free shuttle pickup from the airport (and return), simply call +354 515 7110 if you need pickup outside of their regularly-scheduled transfer runs or have any issues. Free WiFi Calling is available using the free Airport WiFi, though I do recommend buying a data SIM card in Duty Free, or renting a pocket WiFi hotspot for use after you leave the airport. 

I also *very strongly* recommend their complete/total damage insurance. It covers everything except damage from river crossings, and the peace of mind is well-worth the menial addition to your bill. The unpredictable can happen, and most likely you'll end up having some sort of damage that you would otherwise need to cover - be it rock chips, wind damage, etc. Their total damage protection plan is exceptional, and (in my opinion) a required upgrade.

The roads in Bali can be challenging to navigate- the streets are often times narrow, and very busy with bikes, mopeds, and scooters darting between cars. It is therefore my recommendation to hire a driver - plus you get the added benefit of having local knowledge of the best places to visit, and best routes to take to get to your spots quicker!
Meet Irwan - an amazing, kind, and knowledgeable guide and driver. Irwan used to own his own driver/guide business, but when COVID hit, he was forced to sell his car to help put his daughter through college. He then partnered with a bigger travel company, who assists him with filling his schedule between taking his own bookings. I was so fortunate to have met Irwan, and spending two weeks with him was a major highlight of my visit to Bali! He is a purely genuine and good soul, and easily one of the nicest, most honest people I have ever met. I accidentially dropped my wallet in Bali, and Irwan was just as worried as I was when we noticed it was missing - about 45 minutes later, on the other side of the island!
Irwan's knowledge is extensive - no matter what you seek, Irwan is the perfect guide and driver for your adventure! From knowing the best spots for that Instagram photo, to a rare secluded beach for a little rest and relaxation, Irwan knows where to go, and how to get there fast. If the cultural heritage is more your scene, Irwan can enlighten you with all of the local legends, history, and folklore. He will tailor every trip around the interests of his guests, and is always early, so you are never waiting!
I absolutely cannot recommend Irwan enough - he goes above and beyond, and even then raises the bar and exceeds your expectations! If you are visiting Bali, Irwan is THE driver and guide you want - - trust me!! When you do, tell him his friend Greg from America sent you, and he will give you a deal.
